fee policy

Fees for services are based on the type of service delivered. For example, the diagnostic assessment and first appointment are the highest rates due to collecting information, assessing any impairment and symptomology, determining a billing diagnosis, and developing a plan for treatment with you.

Fees for all other services are based on the type and complexity of the service provided. For example, couples and family therapy are a slightly higher rate due to the number of individuals present in the session and the interactive complexity of the couple/family dynamics.

Sometimes a 45-minute session is not enough time to process the issues you are experiencing. You have the option to schedule for 45 to 53 minutes, 54 to 80 minutes, or 81 to 140 minutes. These time slots are prescheduled to not interfere with your schedule and not extend into another person's scheduled time. if a session should exceed your scheduled time, you will be billed at a higher rate.

Please do everything possible to prevent missing an appointment or canceling late.

All missed appointments and late cancels will be billed to you for self-pay reimbursement.

A missed appointment is a No Show/No Call or Text

Late Cancel is a notification of cancellation later than 12 hours prior to the start of the appointment.

Fees for all self-pay services are due before the start of the session and can be paid in cash, check, or through the patient portal. If you need to make other arrangements, please speak to me directly.

You may choose to pay your co-pay at the time of the office visit or you can be billed this fee after the session. You have the ability to enter a debit or credit card into the patient portal for the automatic processing of your session post-appointment.

Fees for services are assessed annually and may change based on expenses changing to deliver services.

insurance

I utilize an electronic health record called Simple Practice. After you input your information into the system, it will automatically bill your insurance and send you an invoice for any portions you are responsible to pay.

You are encouraged to speak to your insurance company prior to beginning therapy to understand your coverage.

Most insurance companies do not pay for couples therapy. Most insurance companies will only pay for family therapy when the issues revolve around a child in the home.  These services are typically self-pay.

I continually add insurance companies to my provider list. If your company is not on the list, you can seek out a provider agreement with the insurance company. I will also consider becoming a provider for your company. Please inquire.
