couples therapy
Making the decision to enter couples therapy is the greatest investment you can make for your family. Often there are worries about entering couples work as individuals have a fear of being blamed or the therapist may take sides with the other partner. This is not what should happen in couples therapy.
Any couple's therapist should have evidence-based training to provide a proper technique to your specific relationship issues. My primary training is Emotionally Focused Therapy and Gottman Couple Techniques which tracks the interactional patterns between the couple to address conflict, trauma, trust, sexual intimacy and communication problems.
Health insurance typically does not cover couples therapy as it is considered a relationship issue and not a medical issue. Please check with your insurance company to know what your coverage will be. Typically, couples work is self-pay.
